The Marianthi is situated on the north coast of Crete an equal distance from both of Crete's airports, Heraklion and Chania.

Travel from Chania Airport to Marianthi Apartments Platanias, Rethymno

First make your way from Chania Airport to the National Highway by following the signs away from the airport for Rethymno/National Highway.

Follow the highway in the direction of Rethymno. Stay on the highway passing the town of Rethymno which will be on your left.

3 - 4 km further you will see a sign for Arkadi and Platanias on your right and there is also a signpost for Lidl on the same junction. Leave at this junction. Turn right and go up the small hill. At the top of the hill turn right and drive down the road which will curve round to the right.

Just before the small tunnel which carries the main road take a left turn so you will be driving parallel with the highway which is above you.

After a very short distance take the first right under the road and then immediately go left as you come out of the tunnel.

The Marianthi is a short distance along this small road on your right. You will see some tall trees and an arch of flowers over the entrance, as in the photograph on the homepage of our website.

Transfers from the airport can be arranged for you or you can arrange your own transport locally. For visitors who are going to be hiring a car during their stay it is a good idea to have it delivered to the airport for your use so that you can then use it straight away for your own transfer.

Travel from Heraklion Airport to Marianthi Apartments Platanias, Rethymno

When you leave the airport at Heraklion you will go straight to the National Highway. Follow the National Highway in the direction of Rethymno or Chania which will be signposted as you approach the National Highway.

The information to help you leave the highway at the correct junction is next.

As you approach Platanes you will see a showroom type building on the left called Deco Home. There is a junction on this side of the road. Ignore it.

Immediately after on the right side of the road is another junction signposted with a blue sign for Platanes and Arkadi. This is your junction. There is also a big sign board for KTEO on this junction.

You turn right off the main highway and follow the road for a short distance into Platanes. When you get to the T junction turn left.

Then take the next left almost immediately and drive up the road past the taxi rank. Drive under the viaduct and then take the right turn immediately after the viaduct. Drive a very short distance along that road until you get to another viaduct on your right, drive underneath it.

Then turn immediately to your left and the Marianthi Apartments are a few metres on your right. They are the first apartments and there is an arch of flowers around the entrance and some tall trees.
